Jonathan was born and raised in the Midwest and was transplanted to the south (sweet home Alabama) in 2011. After moving to Alabama, Jonathan found himself working in restaurant kitchens over the next several years, gaining unique experiences with food. From southern-fried buffets to taquerias to cafes to event catering, each season brought with it new skills. 

Beyond kitchen skills, Jonathan desires to share his love for the art of hospitality, an art lost to many in this virtual day and age. Hospitality is about more than meals—it is about opening your life and your home. It is about beautiful spaces and places, presentation, and so much more.

In 2021, Jonathan and his wife, Kalyn, launched the House of Plenty Studio Kitchen in downtown Hamilton, Alabama. Out of this space, they host beautiful events, cooking classes, and catering services.

Jonathan and Kalyn reside in Hamilton, Alabama, with their two children, Levi and Elsie.
